MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Jan 30 Observer(s): Santana Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: R4K Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.01 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Moisture was dried off the window just after sunset. Spent first part of night getting calibrations and set up. About midnight started science frames, the seeing varied due to cirrus clouds, from about 0.9 to 1.6. At one point in the night images were not showing up in the data folder. I closed Prospero thinking it was not writing them. Once restarted the files that were missing showed up all at once, unsure of the quality I retook those specific images (short 10 second standard and 1 second focus shots). At another point, prospero appeared to hang on an exposure, quitting the exposure and re-initializing it worked. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Jan 31 [8:07:06]
