MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Jul 04 Observer(s): Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 1 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: It got too cloudy within an hour of opening. In the brief time I had to search for targets, the telescope pointing would be off by a few arcminutes after a long slew. This happened twice, but I didn't have enough time to establish whether the error was confined to one axis. The first, time I could find the nearest bright star by searching randomly, but the second time I was already close to zenith, so I restablished pointing using the tilt sensors. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Jul 5 [2:25:25]
