MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Jul 14

Worked for 8.25 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 8:30 until 1:00.
   Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

At around 3:00pm I noticed nearby lightning to the SE and proceeded 
to do a lightning shutdown bringing the computers back online at 6:00pm.

Follwing the KPNO site and the 1.3m I opened at 8:30pm. Some clouds 
rolled in around 9:30 and I had to wait about 20 minutes for them to 
clear. Clouds remained patchy until about 1:00am but I was able to continue
observing. I finally closed up at 4:45am, filled the dewar and proceeded 
to once again shutdown all the systems as I will be leaving in the
morning.

In summary, all systems worked very well during the course of my 6 night run, 
when called upon.
