MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Jun 04 Observer(s): Villanueva Institution(s): The Ohio State University Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 7 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The pointing was off at the beginning of the night. So much so that no suitable stars could be found in the field of view. This was compounded by the fact that later the dome was 90 degrees out of phase with the telescope. After many attempts, including sending the telescope to zenith to set the RA/DEC encoders, pointing was eventually restored at the cost of 2 hours of observing time. After pointing was restored there were no problems. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Jun 5 [4:27:02]
