MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 May 07 Observer(s): Jenna Lemonias, Steven Mohammed Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 3 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 11pm until 4am. Beg: Clear, Winds Calm, humidity = ok Mid: Clear, Winds Calm, high humidity End: Clear, Winds Calm, high humidity Observing Summary: Tested pointing at the beginning of the night and the pointing problem from last night seems to be resolved. I noticed right before observing that the telescope was at zenith and tracking but the DEC was very slowly moving away from 31 57 12. When we started it was at 31 56 45. Had to close at 11 pm due to high humidity. Humidity did not improve. I accidentally closed xtcs and restarted by opening it again and clicking on Initialize. After this some information was missing from the headers even though the statuses in the Prospero Status were all good and there were no warning signs. I followed some instructions in a manual online (tcinit and tcstatus in Prospero) to resolve this but I hadn't seen this in the big binder so we're missing some header information. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 May 8 [4:20:21]
