MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Nov 03 Observer(s): Adams, Simonian Institution(s): The Ohio State University Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Sky seemed photometric in the evening. We observed our spectrophotometric standard BD+284211 without much problem. After taking the spectrophotometric standard, we then moved to WISE2222+09. At that point, the seeing was about 1.1 , the smallest value we'd measure all night. After the WISE object, we moved to the SDSSJ0200 star field, and took images there without any problems. We then moved to DES2937784301. At this point, we were being careful because the humidity had reached 80%. However, that was its peak and it began to come down. We then observed DES2937880615. We initially had trouble acquiring it, but we managed it eventually. At this point the seeing was ~1.3 . We moved to DES2937880615 and took spectra without any problem. The DES objects were setting, so we aimed at a target which was further away from the horizon: That was WISE0612-06. As we were acquiring WISE0612-06, we noticed the guide star flickering in and out. This indicated the presence of cirrus, so instead observed ESO555-G02a. Observed Feige 34 Took morning twilight flats ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Nov 4 [6:44:22]
