MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Nov 15 Observer(s): Demitri Muna Institution(s): Ohio State University Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 6 hours (first half of the night) Bad weather most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Fog all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable, ~100% humidity Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable, ~100% humidity End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable, ~100% humidity Observing Summary: Observations by Demitri Muna (observer) and Kelly Denney (remote). The dome was never opened due to clouds and high humidity. Tried to take flats and arc calibrations despite the bad weather. The flats didn't look good; they kept coming out such that the upper left corner of the field is much brighter, dropping to the same level as a bias in the lower right. I took a Xe comp, and the lines were 90° from what was expected. Executing mirror out leaves the mirror status in Prospero stuck on MOVING occasionally as well, eventually moving back to IN or OUT . Got en error when executing call roi4x1k (see report). Unable to get a proper flat or comp, called it a night at midnight. Dewar was refilled at 05:10. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Nov 16 [5:23:00]
