MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Sep 01

Worked for 6 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Patchy clouds in the afternoon and nearby thunderstorms, 
opened a little late. After taking flat frames, there was
some hardware error / communication error that caused the
CCD to only read out 512s over the entire detector. 
Re-initializing OWL seemed to fix that. Happened last night as 
well. Approaching thunderstorm and clouds caused us to close
early. Conditions seemed to improve, we re-opened and observed
a bright star before closing again due to clouds.
