MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Sep 09

Worked for 0.5 hours (part of the night)
Bad weather most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Rain from start until midn.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

Some clear spots during the day, but clouds and humidity early in
the night, then did lightning shutdown as a storm approached.  One
close lightning strike killed power for a second or two, but no
apparent damage. By 3 AM it had cleared and de-humidified enough
to open briefly and get a quick observation,  but humidity crept
up again, so closed back up.  Guider focus is good.

Had one minor problem with flat lamp, described in trouble report.
