MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Sep 17 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Nellie direct Worked for 3 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Lovely night out, but very frustrating for astronomy with most of the sky covered by heavy high clouds. Did manage to get a few objects through sucker holes, and there was finally a stretch near the end which was mostly clear for a couple of hours. Telescope was close to correct focus at start, and guider probe didn't even require touchup. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Sep 18 [6:14:37]
