MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Sep 25 Observer(s): Schiminovich, Hamden, Gordon Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Proto-Chas Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing <5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing <5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing <5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: We had a good night- we were able to observe a lot of targets. We did notice that when switching between targets, the pointing had drifted, sometimes significantly. Later in the night, we attempted to find a target and we really far off. We ended up using the levels in the control room to bring it back to zenith. Even with this, we had to make corrections as we moved to each target. This wasn't as big a problem even last night. Other than this, we had a good evening full of science. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Sep 26 [5:35:24]
