MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Sep 30 Observer(s): McGraw Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Sky was clear all night, good observing conditions. At 4:20 am, the guider stopped moving in both the x and y directions. I recycled the power and restarted xmis, and this fixed the problem. Also I noticed there is a leak at the end of the liquid nitrogen hose where the zipties are clamped on. As I went out to fill the dewar at 5:30 am, the dewar temperature had warmed to -82 degrees. I am not certain as to whether this was due to it not being filled properly or something with the dewar itself. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Oct 1 [5:57:38]
