MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Apr 02 Observer(s): Hamden, Gordon Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Proto-Chas Worked for 4 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 8pm until 1am. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Overcast, Winds Calm End: Seeing 3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The first half of the night was basically a wash. We got up and focused and then thick clouds rolled in. The humidity went pretty high so we closed up and waited it out. We ate some cake and met the 1.3 observer, so generally a fun time. Around 1-2AM the skies cleared and the 4 meter opened, so we opened back up. There were still some high clouds but they cleared up. Outside was pretty icy though. After that, things were very smooth. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Apr 3 [5:04:51]
