MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Apr 05 Observer(s): Gordon, Hamden Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: PCHAS Worked for 7 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 1900 until 2200. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Cloudy skies pushed back opening until ~2200, with good conditions prevailing thereafter. PCHAS/Hiltner were well behaved throughout the night and we sat on a few of our targets for 1-2 hours each. A couple of minor anomalies: The neon lamp seems to be taking longer than usual to start up (~15-25 sec) after the button is toggled in the MIS window. We also discovered that if a window is placed over the Prospero Command Window while a series of exposures is being taken, the integrations will pause after the current one has read out. The proceeding one will resume once the top window is moved away from Prospero. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Apr 6 [5:30:03]
