MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Apr 29 Observer(s): Terndrup Institution(s): Ohio State Instrument: OSMOS/R4K Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Winds all night. Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 4 arcsec, Clear, Winds High End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Windy! With bad seeing. We did our backup program: time-series photometry of bright eclipsing binaries. Winds were occasionally gusting near, but below, the limit. We kept a good watch for dust. Telescope jumped an arcmin or so N/S, especially late in the night. This caused a loss of guiding. Details in the trouble report. Except for that, the guiding worked well. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Apr 30 [4:56:29]
