MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Dec 28

Worked for 11 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Started two hours late due to clouds. It was almost a 
photometric night after that, with good seeing in the second half.
There was a power outage for about 1 second, which was not long
enough to start the generators, and caused no problems.  At the
end of the night the guide probe got stuck at X=5400 and would
not go to the origin.  After power cycling the MIS it went to
the origin. Following instructions from Paul Martini and Eric,
I will check out the filter complement in OSMOS later this
afternoon. I also tried remote observing with the 1.3m,
which went well.  All observers except me (Halpern) are leaving
at 7:45am.  I will stay for two more nights providing it 
doesn't snow before Wednesday morning.
