MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Feb 08 Observer(s): Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: This night was better than last night, with fewer clouds. Everything went well, except for the last object of the night, a standard star. It was a long slew and the telescope coordinates got lost by about 20 degrees. I didn't have time to fully diagnose the error or recover the pointing before sunrise, so I put the telescope to zenith using the tilt meters. I will establish the exact pointing tonight. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Feb 9 [7:13:25]
