MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Feb 09 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 10 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: The night started with only light cirrus, but it gradually got more cloudy until I decided to give up at 4:30am when it was too dense. I had no trouble with pointing tonight. With regard to my trouble report, I further noticed that clicking the mouse in the Prospero Command Window would get the sequence started again, as though the information were in the mouse instead of the window. Also, at the end I did a startup command in the Prospero window, which I'm hoping will fix this minor problem. I did notice that a couple of temperatures in the Prospero Status window had been corrupted (the Bench and IEB), which was cured by startup. I won't do anything more drastic unless instructed to. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Feb 10 [5:03:17]
