MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Mar 03 Observer(s): Nicholas Kern Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 8 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 1:00 until on. Beg: Clear, Winds Calm, Cold Mid: Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The beginning of the night had decent transparency and little cloud cover, however seeing seemed to be bad, and it was very cold. Humidity was around 80%. By the middle of the night humidity dropped to 70%, and the air temperature warmed slightly, however, increased cloud cover and continually degrading transparency led to less than ideal conditions by the end of the night. I was able to complete two masks, 523414 and 510639, slit 1 and slit 2 respectively. When working on slit 1 I lost my pointing and had to manually reset at zenith, but it worked fine. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Mar 4 [5:16:45]
