MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Mar 05 Observer(s): Nicholas Kern Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 6 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 2AM until close. Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Clear skies and good weather for the first half of the night. By about 1AM cirrus clouds began to form, and by 2AM they spanned the sky. I temporarily closed the dome at around 2AM due to the control room weather display reporting precipitation likely , however, it never did rain, and the humidity stayed around 40% or lower most the night. The skies didn't clear up by 4AM, past which I wouldn't have enough time to start and complete a full mask, so I closed the dome and ended the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Mar 6 [4:10:22]
