MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 May 29 Observer(s): Halpern, Li Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templeton Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The night started out partly cloudy, but cleared nicely after the first hour or so. I noticed that the UT clock on the TCS differs by 5 seconds from the other computers. Telescope pointing is usually off by a couple of arcminutes after a long slew, as others have noted. This tells me that a new pointing map is needed. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 May 30 [4:40:21]
