MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Nov 16 Observer(s): David Jaimes, Stephanie Douglas Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: ModSpec/Echelle Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Cirrus, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: We were able to observe all night! The seeing was moderate to bad, and there was cirrus and/or high clouds most of the night, but it looks like we got good data. In the afternoon we checked and found dew on ModSpec's detector window again. We used the dry Nitrogen feed to clear it before sunset. The mirror A/C was reading out 0% humidity and an unphysically low dewpoint, but the humidity was pretty low so we just monitored it using the weather station and by checking for dew outside. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Nov 17 [6:14:05]
