MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Nov 24 Observer(s): R. Mark Wagner Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Winds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 3+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High Observing Summary: Night was characterized by cirrus and moderately high winds. They were quite variable ranging from about 10 mph up to 38 mpg. Around 01:00 am the winds seemed to shift around to the SE from the NE and the seeing blew up to 3-4 arcsec. I closed at 3:10 am with the wind above 30 mph and the bad seeing was taking me nowhere. First half was pretty good except for the cirrus. I did complete my highest priority imaging/photometry object for the block. No trouble to report. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Nov 25 [4:01:59]
