MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Oct 14 Observer(s): Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + Echelle CCD Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Another very nice night, a bit warmer. Some very good seeing, with mirror staying below ambient, probably because A/C was working during the day. All-sky camera showed light cirrus through most of the night but it didn't become noticeable until about 2 AM; it got pretty thick around 4, but fortunately I had some bright targets to move to. I've noticed a tendency for pointing to drift during the night so that one lands west of the target. Can't be certain of this yet. Ran a simple program on the 1.3m remotely. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Oct 15 [6:15:25]
