MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Oct 25 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: CCDS/Retrocam Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Second night of run. A few patchy clouds at sunset and again at dawn, but clear for most of the middle of the night. Again mostly spectra of supernovae with CCDS, plus imaging with RETROCAM, including some GRB observations. The seeing was excellent for most of the night (0.8-1.0 arcsec), blowing up a bit in the morning. Objects mostly disappeared down the 1 arcsec slit when looked at on the slit viewer. I lost about 1.5 hours total due to needing to refill the CCD dewar in the middle of the night and some later problems with the instrument electronics. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Oct 26 [6:47:32]
