MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Apr 02 Observer(s): Danilet Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 20:00 until 5:30. Beg: Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: There were thin clouds above zenith most of the night as well as the full moon which made gathering data difficult. Once the moon set near the end of the night I was preparing to get spectra of NSgr2015b. However, shortly beforehand, the telescope became confused as to where it was and ended up at its southern limit. Is has since been returned to zenith by Eric and it, along with the dome and other instruments appear to be in good standing. There was an unusual high pitched noise coming from the computer room starting at UT 5:53:00 which lasted for approximately 45 min. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Apr 3 [8:39:58]
