MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Dec 01 Observer(s): Fausnaugh Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Long but industrious night for MDM2.4 queue. Observed: PS1-13cbe (Chornock) ASASSN 15tg, 15th, 15ti, 2MASXJ0305 (suspected 15ti host) (ASASSN team/Wagner) V838Mon, V959Mon (Wagner) SDSS075105 (Frank) Reasonable conditions---thin cirrus at opening, mostly clear by morning. Poor seeing all night (>= 1.7, reaching 2.7). I noticed that the mirror temperature was reading about 1.5 degrees higher than the dome ambient for most of the night. However, I did see a lot of twinkling when stepping outside. I also forgot to set CamFocus for the evening calibrations, so these arc lamps are out of focus. Rerunning calibration script for the morning. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Dec 2 [6:45:37]
