MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Dec 18 Observer(s): Douglas, Nunez Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: ModSpec/Echelle Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 1230 until . Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: The night started out fine with good seeing, but the seeing dropped a bit after an hour or so. Clouds started moving overhead around 0930 UT/0230 local time, but they were thin enough to see brightish stars so we observed until 1230 UT/0530 local when we couldn't find bright enough guide stars for our targets anymore. The pointing drifted pretty significantly over the course of the night. Also, the weather monitor computer restarted itself to install updates in the middle of the night. Neither caused any significant loss of observing time, but we submitted a trouble report as well. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Dec 19 [5:49:23]
