MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Feb 11 Observer(s): Miller Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Winds from 12 until . Beg: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds High End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds High Observing Summary: Guider gave me problems all night. Sometimes it would take 2-4 tries during calibration. Sometimes it would calibrate fine, but then no star would appear when I started tracking. I tried various levels of aggressiveness and saw no difference. The wind likely had something to do with it, as the problem was worse from midnight on when the winds picked up. Impact was about 10-15 minutes extra per field. So for 5 fields, maybe an hour lost. Dome did not make it home. Stopped at 3. Moved it from inside dome. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Feb 12 [6:06:19]
