MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Jan 20 Observer(s): Hainline, Carroll, Babu Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 6:00 until 7:00. Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: We had another productive night tonight, observing an additional four targets. The seeing was not as good as yesterday, and we went from 1 to around 1.5 seeing due to light cloud cover that eventually lead to moderate cloud cover at the end of the night, ending our evening. The last set we were only able to get 2x1800s exposures before clouds prevented us from getting another. We had one issue with a doubling of the emission lines in the spatial direction for one of our objects, and it happened when we went down to the 1.3m to close their dome for the night (yesterday, the doubling happened when we went down to the 1.3 meter to fill their dewar on our last set of exposures). I can't see a connection, but it also could be that we had an entry into the MIS dx or dy fields which was accidentally triggered. Otherwise, a very nice night! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Jan 21 [6:14:26]
