MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Jan 21 Observer(s): Hainline, Carroll, Babu Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity all night. Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: We had a pretty productive night, observing five targets, including the supernova for Rob. We had humidity that reached 82-83% at the high point, at around 1-2 AM, but then it dropped. The only issue we had was with prospero not being able to communicate and move the slit wheel, which we experienced at around midnight. After cycling the power on a few computers, we had to call Eric, who walked us through the fix, cycling the power on the IC. This was helpful since this happened again at around 4 AM. Everything went pretty well, otherwise. We filled the dewar at the 1.3 in the evening and the morning, for Rob, as well. We also should note that in the last set of exposures, we had a few rows to the north of the chip read out entirely black together. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Jan 22 [7:16:12]
