MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Jan 22 Observer(s): Hainline, Carroll, Babu Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Winds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: We had a productive night, observing four targets including some imaging for Ryan. We also did some imaging of Comet Lovejoy at the start of the evening. We also acquired dome flats in the late afternoon. The seeing was less than ideal, most likely due to moderate winds. Additionally, the slit malfunctioned about 7 or 8 times throughout the evening, requiring us to cycle the power on IE and restart Prospero. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Jan 23 [7:31:44]
