MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Mar 15 Observer(s): Ashley Pagnotta Institution(s): AMNH Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 11.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Sky was clear all night, but not photometric due to low, thin haze and a few scattered low clouds. Winds lower than last night. At ~11:45 (UT) the NW chip stopped working again, the same as it did last night. Eric fixed that problem this morning by restarting Prospero, but I was trying to squeeze in a last few exposures before it got too light outside and didn't want to lose time restarting everything, so I made sure my target was on a different chip and continued. I’ve left it as is in hopes that will help diagnose why this is happening. Again there was nothing unusual about the exposure on which it broke, it was just the first image on a new target. There's really not much else I can say about this, so I'm not putting in another trouble report--there wouldn't be any further information. Otherwise, things went well throughout the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Mar 16 [6:26:15]
