MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Nov 25 Observer(s): Songyoun Park Institution(s): Seoul National University Instrument: OSMOS No Observing (see comments below) Bad weather most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity all night. Observing Summary: It was cloudy at the beginning of observing run, so we could not open the dome. From the middle of the night, humidity was growing up to 99% and clouds and fog were getting heavy. The bad weather was not getting better at 4 am, so we shut down around 4:30 am. This is not necessarily a problem, but something that we noticed: The E/W tilt sensor drifted back and forth around its typical value during the night. It was mostly at about -0.25, but sometimes changed by +/- 0.15 over about 15-30 minutes, then would eventually drift back. This behavior did not seem related to the wind or other atmospheric conditions, and was only noticeable because we were sitting in the control room not moving the telescope due to the bad weather. The TCS was not 'start'ed. The shifts were small enough that had we been observing, the autoguider would probably have seamlessly corrected them. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Nov 26 [4:47:21]
