MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Oct 24 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: modspec+echelle CCD Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2-3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing !+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Almost clear, but with occasional thin cirrus lit by a moon two days from full, and some very bad seeing, especialy early in the night. Productive night in any case, though struggled at times. Beautiful in the few minutes between moonrise and twilight - spectacular conjunction of Venus and Jupiter, and could see the zodiacal light on the eastern horizon.
