MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Sep 16 Observer(s): Joel C Zinn Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 4 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 4:00 until 10:00. Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Seeing during observing hours ranged from 1.5 to 2.4 , improving over the course of the night as the humidity dropped. Had to close at 400UTC due to high humidity. Condensation had accumulated on the window by reopening at 1015UTC, which was cleared after observing two SN candidates in order to ensure some data were taken before humidity rose again. In point of fact, humidity fell from that point onward. Also observed a MgII absorber, though the red grism did not yield an unambiguous spectrum in 600s for this object with R=17.4. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Sep 17 [5:37:23]
