MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Sep 21 Observer(s): Paust, Jordan, Walker Institution(s): Whitman/Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS/4K No Observing (see comments below) Bad weather most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Rain all night. Observing Summary: Clouds, rain, fog. At any given point in the night, we got at least two of those. The forecast says we might get clear weather starting around midnight tomorrow, hopefully that happens. I don't see how the humidity will be low enough to open, but maybe it'll be ok with fans in the dome and the louvers open in the afternoon. One thing that I'm a little concerned about is that there's a lot of water on the lift platform under the telescope. I climbed the ladder by the dome slit and there are puddles on some of the mirror cover petals. I was considering slewing the telescope a little bit to get the to pour off, but I worried that that might cause more problems so I leave it to people who know the right answer. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Sep 22 [5:47:07]
