MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Sep 24 Observer(s): Baldassare, Foord, Hodges-Kluck Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS-B/1.2 slit Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The telescope lost pointing a few times crossing the zenith and we needed to manually restore it via the tilt method. I am not sure what caused this, as after we set the offsets the third time it was fine the rest of the night, crossing the zenith or no. Otherwise, everything worked fine and we obtained spectra for five quasars and some standard stars. The twilight flats did not turn out well, so we will need to wait until tomorrow to do a quick-look reduction. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Sep 25 [5:51:16]
