MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Aug 16 Observer(s): Thorstensen/Klusmeyer Institution(s): Dartmouth/MDM Instrument: OSMOS+B4k Worked for 6 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Partly-cloudy night with long clearish stretches and at least one substantial cloudy interval. Improved osctrtask a little, so one can change target coords in maximDL rather than moving the guide probe - -this is less sloppy. Had trouble with the dome only counting one way and a long frustrating interval with the data-taking system -- lost maybe a couple of hours in total to equipment. See report. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Aug 17 [5:49:57]
