MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Dec 26 Observer(s): Halpern, Li Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: It was a very productive night despite the following issues, not rising to the level of a trouble report, since we neither tried to fix them, nor did they impede our work much. The dome encoder still misbehaves. We worked around it without disconnecting the encoder box. One time the telescope jumped a couple of arcseconds to the west. This also happened once a couple of nights ago. Maybe the tracking motor is having a problem as it is noisy all the time. Finally, the yellow button seems to have burned out. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Dec 27 [6:22:49]
