MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Feb 24

Worked for 10.3 hours (most of the night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Better night compared to the previous two.  Winds were calm all night.  Seeing was not
as good as I thought it might.  Typically 2 arcsec all night.  At 4:45 am with the telescope
at DEC=43 deg and HA=00:01 west an image came up that was trailed in segments.  I 
noticed the RA oscillating back and forth.  Inspection on the floor showed that the 
tracking mechanism was oscillating back a forth with a high pitched squeek on one leg
of travel.  I took at 20 sec video with my cell phone of the mechanism.  Turned off tracking
and stowed the telescope.   Not sure if this is a balance problem or something else.
