MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Jan 25 Observer(s): Hodges-Kluck Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The night was clear at the beginning but cirrus and lower clouds moved in around 11 pm and there were periods where no observing was possible. 2-3 hours were lost. Otherwise, everything worked fine and I observed 7 targets. There were no problems with the dome or autoguider, unlike for the prior observers. Unrelated to observing, the flush handle on the main toilet in the 2.4m building broke (the plastic bar that holds the chain to the flapper snapped). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Jan 26 [6:36:52]
