MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Mar 01 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock et al. Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/R Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We continued using the red grism on OSMOS to take hour-long spectra of AGN and old SNe. Uneventful-- some light cirrus at sunset, otherwise clear with good seeing. Some of the spectra taken with the R4K chip have weird electronic-looking noise in the upper-left quadrant (not just the lower-left one). I should look into this more later to provide some good examples. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Mar 2 [7:00:23]
