MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Sep 23 Observer(s): Jessica Klusmeyer Institution(s): MDM Instrument: OSMOSB4k Worked for 8 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Cloudy weather most of the afternoon left clouds around at sunset. Didn't open immediately, eventually cleared but high cirrus clouds throughout night. Had trouble keeping a guide star and stopped observing until clouds passed. Had to close before flats due to threatening clouds. Also had an issue with the autoguide on targets with roi4k. Checked pointing with nearest bright and was not the problem. Also No problems with roi4x1k but guide stars were out of limits on 4k targets and switching guide stars did not help. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Sep 24 [5:49:39]
