MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Sep 25 Observer(s): Jessica Klusmeyer Institution(s): MDM Instrument: OSMOSB4k Worked for 3 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Cloudy after sunset delayed start until 2100 local, things seemed to be clearing up so opened for the night. Had an issue with the guide camera on targets with a rotator angle. Guide probe wasn't going to correct position. Double checked angle and that the angle for guide was correct but did not help. Also tried cycling power to MIS to see if guide probe was lost. Was able to get the probe working with targets with no rotator but did not get the chance to see if the cycling helped when target required an angle due to clouds and rain moving in. Had to close early, rain for the rest of the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Sep 26 [4:20:08]
