MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Apr 28 Observer(s): Tom Holoien Institution(s): Ohio State Instrument: OSMOSB4k Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 3.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High Mid: Seeing 3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 3.8 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Hazy clouds and strong winds caused bad seeing conditions (worse than 2.5 ) for the entire night. Thicker clouds moved overhead during the last 1/3 of the night, causing problems with guiding and preventing most observations. No mechanical issues with the telescope---the drifting/lurching issue seen the last two nights did not occur. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Apr 29 [4:58:05]
