MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Feb 10 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: A pretty good night, considering the full moon and weather forecast. Some dark clouds were visible on the northwestern horizon at dusk, but they never came close. Instead, I had some scattered cirrus and patchy clouds increasing through the night. However, I was able to keep observing until dawn. The telescope pointing and focus were pretty far off at the beginning of the night, but I zeroed the pointing on a bright star and things were smooth after that. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Feb 11 [7:39:16]
