MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Feb 11 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 1 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: I was able to open at sunset with patchy clouds and start observing standard stars with excellent (1 arcsec) seeing. By 18deg twilight, the clouds had thickened to the point where guiding was not working. I spent a few hours futilely attempting to sneak an observation or two through the clouds, but shut down the telescope for good around 11PM without getting much useful data. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Feb 12 [9:17:18]
