MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Feb 25

Worked for 4 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm, clouds to north
   Mid: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Overcast, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Had the same error for file names when running scripts in the afternoon
[CB> WARNING: FITS file '/lhome/data/170226.0591.fits' already exists, writing as '/lhome/data/8001044K.282.fits' instead]
I use the format YYMMDD.### not sure why there would be duplicate files



At twilight prospero froze and would not respond, same issue was last night.  reboot IC startup had TC Down and TCSLink down, went into TCS agent widow , checked status and initialized, seems to be working fine


Lost a little time for twilight flats

A few clouds to the north at opening 
Tried to observe a few targets but closed at 2200 for clouds
Closed for an hour, small hole in clouds able to observe for an hour then closed for threatening clouds



At 0300 still closed for threatening clouds and more on radar, closing for the night and end of queue
