MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Jan 04 Observer(s): Simonian Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOSB4k Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate, Twilight clouds Observing Summary: Clear all night with cirrus clouds passing overhead. Winds were consistently about 20 mph. However, general imaging projects were easy to follow-through with. Around 4pm, guiding stars became particularly difficult to find despite there being no apparent clouds. Around the same time, guide stars appeared to drift out of the telescope field of view. However, I was able to make it through the whole night, albeit with less efficiency toward the end. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Jan 5 [7:38:15]
